GLOB-SPED AIR FREIGHT DEPARTMENT BECOMES SCHNEIDER AS OF APRIL 1, 2024
The air freight department of Glob-Sped AG, under the management of Richard Etter, will operate under the name of the parent company Schneider & Co. Ltd as of April 1, 2024. This change only affects the employees at the Basel site and not our branch in Brunegg.
The air freight department will benefit enormously from the Schneider Group's large and globally active network in the future and will be able to respond even better to the individual customer requirements of its clientele.

ABOLITION OF INDUSTRIAL TARIFFS AS OF 1 JANUARY 2024
The abolition of industrial tariffs will enter into force on 1 January 2024. This decision was made by the Federal Council in its meeting on 2 February 2022, after the necessary amendment to the Customs Tariffs Act was passed by Parliament on 1 October 2021.
In Switzerland, industrial products are all goods with the exception of agricultural products (incl. animal feed) and fishery products. The abolition of industrial tariffs thus covers all goods in Chapters 25-97 of the Customs Tariff with the exception of some products in Chapters 35 and 38, which are classified as agricultural products.
For more information, please see the attached document or the FOCBS website.

SCHNEIDER AS WELL AS AS GLOB-SPED HAVE RECENTLY BEEN GDP-CERTIFIED
The Schneider branches in Basel, Geneva and Zurich Airport as well as Glob-Sped AG in Basel have recently been GDP-certified.
Good Distribution Practices (GDP) is a quality system for warehouses and distribution centers of pharmaceuticals. The certificate proves that we comply with the guidelines for the distribution of pharma & healthcare products to ensure their quality and integrity throughout the supply chain from the manufacturer to the end user.
The GDP guideline is primarily aimed at pharmaceutical wholesalers, but the implementation of the GDP requirements must nevertheless be ensured by all participants within the distribution chain, including us as a transport company.
The GDP requirements are monitored by the inspectorates of the respective country even after certification. Within the framework of regular on-site inspections, it is checked whether the requirements have been implemented in operational practice in accordance with the specifications.
